ROME

A GLORIOUS WELCOME TO THE ETERNAL CITY

If travelers to Italy’s capital must do as the Romans do, where to begin? With its wide streets lined with breezy pines and fragrant orange trees, Rome has borne witness to three millennia of human history and proudly displays evidence of its heritage on every corner. The sprawling metropolis, bisected by the Tiber River,  offers a wide array of neighborhoods, from eclectic Trastevere to posh Parione, and landmarks such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Vatican. In fact, the entire historic center of Rome has been named a UNESCO Heritage Site. The sons of Rome include Julius Caesar, Virgil, Raphael, and more recently, Ennio Morricone, Sergio Leone, and Roberto Rossellini; but today, a stroll through its picturesque streets still feels like living in a Fellini fantasy. Fill your belly with local staples like carbonara and cacio e pepe or stuffed artichokes and enjoy happy hour in the city that was once the center of the world. If Rome has maintained its glory for so long, then they are clearly getting something right.

A TAVOLA NON SI INVECCHIA.

“AT THE TABLE, ONE DOES NOT GROW OLD.”

It is the livelihood, the joy of living, and the noisiness at times of the Romans that makes this city such an incredible place.”

Andrea Spalletti Trivelli, Villa Spalletti Trivelli

“Apart from Rome’s unparalleled beauty, what makes Rome unique is the way it makes you feel.”

Luca Virgilio, Hotel Eden
